Orchids skipper Elsie Albert commits to Parramatta Eels until 2027
The Parramatta Eels have confirmed the re-signing of powerhouse forward Elsie Albert, securing her services through the 2026 and 2027 NRLW seasons.
A key figure in the Eels’ forward pack, Albert’s new deal reflects the Club’s confidence in her leadership and influence both on and off the field.
Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill said the Club was thrilled to extend Albert’s stay in blue and gold.
“Elsie is an exceptional player and person, and we’re proud to see her continue her journey here at Parramatta,” O’Neill said. “Her leadership, work ethic, and presence on and off the field have made a huge impact on our playing group and the wider community. We know she’ll continue to be a driving force in our pursuit of success in the coming seasons.”
Albert, who captains the Papua New Guinea Orchids at international level, expressed her excitement at committing her future to Parramatta.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be staying with Parramatta,” Albert said. “From the moment I joined the Club, I’ve felt a strong sense of belonging and support from my teammates, the staff, and our amazing fans. Wearing the blue and gold means a lot to me, and I can’t wait to keep building on what we’ve started and make our supporters proud.”
A trailblazer for Papua New Guinea women’s rugby league, Albert made her NRLW debut with the St George Illawarra Dragons in 2020, where she played 15 games across three seasons before joining Parramatta in 2023. Since then, she has made 20 appearances for the Eels, establishing herself as one of the most respected and impactful forwards in the competition.
Albert’s re-signing marks another significant step in the Eels’ long-term commitment to developing a strong and competitive NRLW program built on leadership, culture, and community.
