Grade 12’s sit national exams starting Monday

More than 36,000 Grade 12 students across the country will start their weeklong national exams starting Monday.
Students will sit for the Advanced Mathematics Paper 1 and the General Mathematics Paper 1 on Monday, with other subject exams scheduled to follow throughout the week. The exams will run from October 13 to 17.
Education Secretary Dr Uke Kombra, says students sitting this year’s exams are from 250 secondary schools, including the six National Schools of Excellence.
He said Grade 12 exam marking will take place in Port Moresby from October 19 to 30, after the completion of the Grade 10 exams.
Dr. Kombra has also assured that the Education Department is working closely with the Enga Provincial Government and security forces to ensure that students in Enga can sit their exams without disruption, despite the ongoing violence in the province.
Grade 10 students completed their exams last week, while Grade 8 students will sit theirs from October 20 to 23.
