Grade ten students who have completed their final examination this week, plus the grades twelve and eight who will be writing theirs in the next two weeks, are being warned to refrain from engaging in any unlawful activities.

Madang's top cop, Acting Superintendent Robert Baim, issued the warning on Thursday upon the completion of the final grade 10 examination.

"As the 2025 school year winds down and examinations conclude, students are reminded that the completion of examinations is not the end of their journey. There is still a long road ahead, and everyone should go straight home to their parents after their exams. Any misbehavior after the exams will be treated severely. The police will not grant bail," PPC Baim said.

He added that all students must remain calm and refrain from any form of misconduct, including unlawful assembling, vandalism to school properties, and just about any form of violence at all.

Baim said students must also respect all school properties and law enforcement officers.

He further advised that should they encounter any issues, they must immediately contact their parents, guardians, and/ or school authorities rather than engaging in risky behaviors.

To parents and guardians, Acting Superintendent Robert Baim encouraged them to engage in open dialogue with their children about their safety and responsibilities post- exams.

In any case of legal concerns, he encouraged parents to seek proper legal advice promptly.
