Residents of West New Britain Province now have greater access to free legal services following the opening of a new Public Solicitor’s office in Kimbe Town.

The facility, commissioned on Friday by Public Solicitor Leslie Mamu and West New Britain Governor Sasindran Muthuvel, is located at Kisere. The event also included the handover of a new vehicle from the provincial government to support the office’s operations.

The Kimbe branch of the Public Solicitor’s Office has been serving the province since 2014, but until now operated from temporary premises. Mamu praised the provincial government for its backing and reminded citizens that the office provides legal representation at no cost.

Governor Muthuvel, in his keynote address, said access to legal services was vital to ensure justice was delivered fairly. He reaffirmed his administration’s support for the wider law and justice sector, including police, correctional services and the courts.
