Sinesine-Yongolmulg DDA presents K1 Million to 48 wards councilors for Independence Celebrations

The Sinesine Yongolmulg District Councilors in Simbu received K1 million from the District Development Authority [DDA] to celebrate Papua New Guinea's 50th Independence Anniversary.

The Chairman of DDA Kerenga Kua presented K18,000 to each of the 48 ward councillors, along with merchandise and celebration kits today in Kundiawa.

He said this gesture aims to recognize the councillors' efforts in promoting community development and good governance.

Kua emphasized transparency and accountability in staging shows in each ward, ensuring effective use of funds.

He said Councilors required to present activity plans to ensure accountability and transparency.

Benny Tobe, representing the ward councilors and community, expressed gratitude for the generous gift, acknowledging the district authority's commitment to serving the community.

He said such support recognizes councilors' efforts in driving community development and promoting good governance.
