NBC goes global: National broadcaster to launch Online Radio Service today

The National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) is set to enter a new era of broadcasting with the official launch of its NBC Radio Online service.

The event, themed "for the DIGITAL AGE," will take place this morning from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the NBC Broadcast Haus, 5 Mile.

The launch program will feature key addresses from NBC Board Chairman, Mr. Ian Tarutia, and the Acting Minister for ICT, the Honorable Peter Tsiamalili Jnr.

Attendees will also receive a technical overview of the new internet radio platform from Seloka Lewangu, the Executive Director of Engineering.

The highlight of the event is scheduled for 11:00 AM, when the Acting Minister will officially 'switch on' the service, making NBC's radio content accessible to listeners online, both within Papua New Guinea and across the globe.

The ceremony, emceed by Mark Ali, will conclude with a cake-cutting, networking, and lunch, marking a significant milestone in the broadcaster's mission to "Connect, Inform, and Inspire" the nation
