Passam National School of Excellence celebrates independence with pride

Passam National School of Excellence [NSoE] commemorated the country's 50th Independence Anniversary as students from across Papua New Guinea took part in cultural performances.
With a strong emphasis on the privilege of better literacy and strong education systems.
Principal Samson Pitiki led the ceremony paying tribute to the patriots who gained PNG's independence.
Mr. Pitiki highlighted that the establishment of National High School System after PNG gained independence played a pivotal role in the unity of this nation as he reflected on Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare's big dream and a resilient bully beef team.
"The creation of education institutions in the country to accommodate and train young Papua New Guineans as administrators and technocrats is a manifestation of the Grand Chief's dream and other like-mind leaders who shared his dream" he said.

Pitiki further thanked the great Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare and all the like-minded leaders who shared his dreams and saluted them on this Independence Anniversary.
Keynote speaker and Wewak MP Stanley Samban shared similar sentiments, adding that our unique cultures unite us and strengthen our diverse heritage.
"You are the torch bearers of Papua New Guinea's next 50 years. The future of this nation will be shaped by your knowledge, character, creativity, and courage," Samban said.
