Miss Noami Koge crowned as First Miss Bird of Paradise Western Province

In a thrilling evening of beauty, culture and talent, Miss Naomi Koge, a 23-year-old kindergarten teacher, was crowned the first-ever Miss Bird of Paradise Western Province

Held at the Crows Nest Hotel in Daru over the weekend, the pageant saw seven talented contestants vying for the top spot.

The contestants showcased their flair for retro fashion, strutting their stuff on stage in 1960's outfits. They displayed their cultural heritage, adorning themselves in beautiful traditional attires showing where they came from and the final segment saw the contestants dressed in elegant evening gowns, showing confidence and poise as they sashayed across the stage in front of the judges and the audiences.

Miss Koge, from Drageli village in the South Fly District, impressed judges with her outstanding performance, taking home the titles of Miss Bird of Paradise Western Province and Miss Introductory.

The first runner up title went to Miss Potters Christian Guest House, Diana Olivia Olewale . She also won two other awards that is Miss Traditional and Miss Humanitarian.

Miss Charity awards went to Kimberley Rulete sponsored by Next Gen-Child Nutrition and Social Protection. She also won the Miss Photogenic awards.

Miss Personality went to Miss Sophie Asa and Miss Jacklyn Manuambi grabbed the Miss Interview award.

In her victory speech, Miss Koge expressed gratitude and surprise, pledging to work with the people of Western Province to elevate the province.

"I pledge to work together with people from Western Province to put Western Province up there. I stand today to work with the youths, the mothers, the children, my abidas and balas, and uncles. "she said.

She thanked the pageant committees, judges, and supporters, highlighting her commitment to collaborate with youths, mothers, children, and community.
