Simbu Health Authority commissions advanced ultrasound machine

The Simbu Provincial Health Authority [SiPHA] has enhanced diagnostic services with the commissioning of a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine at Sir Joseph Nombri Memorial Kundiawa Provincial Hospital.
Pauline Maua, of the SiPHA Board and Standards Committee, officially launched the machine and commended Dr. Kassi Ken, the hospital CEO, and the management team for prioritizing patient care.
"This new ultrasound machine is a game-changer for our hospital. It reflects our commitment to providing quality healthcare services to our community," Maua said.
Specialist Radiologist Dr. Evelyn Gima welcomed the new equipment, saying it completes the hospital’s imaging capabilities, a critical requirement for its Level 5 status.

"This advanced technology strengthens Sir Joseph Nombri Memorial Hospital’s position as a regional leader in diagnostic imaging. It will improve healthcare outcomes and contribute to a healthier future for our community," Dr. Gima said.
Obstetric and gynecology specialist Dr. Gadelkareem Nassar, who played a key role in acquiring the machine, praised SiPHA management for their swift action.
"The commissioning of this ultrasound machine highlights SiPHA’s dedication to delivering quality healthcare. We will continue striving to provide the best possible services to our community," Dr. Nassar said.
With this new equipment, Sir Joseph Nombri Memorial Hospital is poised to elevate its healthcare services, ensuring faster, more accurate diagnoses and better patient care for the people of Simbu.
