Port Moresby gospel concert kicks off

Sir John Guise Stadium came alive this afternoon with an atmosphere of praise and celebration, as the Jubilee Reset Gospel Music Concert officially kicked off, with hundreds of Christians converge in a powerful show of faith and unity.
This event has brought all denominations, transforming it into one of the largest inter-church gatherings in recent years.
The concert marks a significant lead-up to the country’s 50th Independence anniversary celebrations next month, setting the tone with a message of thanksgiving, reflection, and renewal.
Pastor Peter Bogembo, Chairman of the Festival, said the Jubilee Reset is more than just a music festival it is a celebration of the vital role churches have played in PNG’s history.
“From education and health services to community development and peacebuilding, churches have been central pillars in the nation’s growth since independence in 1975.”
Pastor Bogembo said this is a time for us to look back with gratitude and to reset for the future.
Speaking to NBC News South Sea Evangelical Church elder Silas Mero expressed gratitude to the government for recognizing the church and its involvement in the country’s development.
This is a beautiful initiative from the government to have churches come together to celebrate as one ahead of the country’s golden jubilee.
Hohola Apostolic Church Pastor Dii Yai described it as a unique event bringing together all churches, whether their Seventh Day Adventists, Catholics, Pentecostal, Lutherans, Apostolic etc to worship and thank God for the last 50 years and for the next 50 ahead of us.
International artists Solomon’s Scripture Vibration and Sinach will rock the stage tonight, performing alongside local artists and groups.
The day-long program features live gospel music, worship sessions, prayer gatherings, and testimonies from pastors, youth leaders, and ordinary believers.
With Independence Day just weeks away, the Jubilee Reset is being hailed as a spiritual foundation for the milestone, reminding Papua New Guineans of the unity and resilience that faith has fostered across the nation’s diverse communities. @67573936031 @67579280037 @67578666486 ONLINE TEAM
