Dame Carol Kidu has called out the “big man style of politics in the country.”

When addressing the University of Papua New Guinea’s school of humanities symposium, she says this style of politics is becoming more dominant in the country.

She says big man politics is when men and women in positions of power have become big men and women and abuse their positions.

Adding there is no accountability and transparency in their dealings.

Dame Carol says, this style of doing things worked in the traditional settings better, however it’s been abused in these modern settings at the national level.
