Five tons of coffee from Milne Bay's hinterlands is bound for Estonia, Europe this week.

Graydon Puinam of Gray Cafe Trading- Nenuma Cooperative Society says, "It wasn't an easy road, months of sleepness nights and prayers that made it possible."

It's a huge milestone given the aim is to send a purely Daga coffee export given its unique taste and flavor.

Previously, coffee exports out of Milne Bay would be combined with those with export licenses in the Highlands.

Puinam says his partner Estonia buyer had visited Daga himself and taken samples back and resorted to buy outtight this first five tons.

This export single-handedly puts Milne Bay coffee on the market with calls for support of future exports.
