Dika claims first Gold for PNG

PNG female weightlifting champion Dika Toua has once again proven that she is one of the great female sporting icons of all time, after claiming the first gold medal for Team PNG at the 2025 Pacific Mini Games in Palau today.

The Hanuabada native won two gold medals and one silver in the women's 56kg while Idau Vagi claimed three bronze medals in the women's 56kg.

Earlier today, the men's and women's va'a team also claimed two silver medals in theV6 1500 meters.
