In preparation for the 2025 Touch Football Papua New Guinea [TFPNG] National Championship, the Alotau Touch Association recently hosted a field and facility inspection.

TFPNG technical director Buddy Mitau and coaching director Andrew Ari visited Alotau for the inspection, accompanied by the association’s president, Ian Mampue.

The inspection focused on key aspects including access to the playing venue, supporting infrastructure, and accommodation arrangements for visiting teams.

To accommodate guests, local schools and church organizations have offered support by providing lodging facilities, ensuring that visiting teams will have convenient and comfortable housing during the event.

Security was also a major point of the inspection, with discussions around law and order and measures being taken to ensure a safe environment throughout the championship.

According to the inspection report submitted by the two TFPNG directors, Alotau is well-prepared to host the national event.
