Central leaders address Goilala’s of Brown River

Leaders from Central province visited the Goilala community in the Brown River area on Thursday this week to address their frustration over the killings at Waigani on Monday.
Governor for Central Rufina Peter, Member for Hiri Koiari Keith Iduhu, and Minister for Energy and Member for Kairuku Peter Isoaimo were there to speak of the rule of law and not take matters into their own hands, but let the Police deal with the situation.

With a mixed emotion of fear and frustration, the Goilalas at Brown River welcomed the leaders to dialogue and work out a solution for the killing of their men during the atrocity at Waigani in the early hours of Monday morning
In the presence of Provincial Police Commander for Central Joseph Salle, Governor for Central Rufina Peter, Member for Hiri Koiari Keith Iduhu and Minister for Energy and Member for Kairuku Peter Isoaimo despite been remorseful, called on the people to refrain from taking matters into their own hands and let the rule of law take its course.
The Goilala's were frustrated at the manner one of their man was killed and planned to block off their section of the Hiri Tano Highway.
The effort by the leaders to speak to the Goilalas saw them to understand and refrain taking further actions.
Police from the Central Command were also present to witness the gathering.
