At the Kwikila Station in the Central Province, the Rigo Schools Rugby League Competition kicked off its season.

8 Schools are registered for this season, participating in both the Under 15 and Under 17 Boys division.

In the Under-15 division, Ruatoka Primary School edged past Imoty with a close 8–4 win, while SK and Daumagini settled for a 4–4 draw in a hard-fought contest.

The Under-17 division also featured intense matchups. Ruatoka and Imoty drew 4–4, Gabone narrowly defeated Gomore 2–0, and Saroakeina was awarded a forfeit win after Daumagini did not field a team.

PNGRFL Pathways Manager for Community Rugby League Saku Ank presented uniforms for referees and Rugby League gear to the Rigo Schools Rugby League Board.
