Climate change effects getting worse in Pacific region

The effects of Climate Change are becoming stronger and happening more often in the Pacific Region.
Vishal Prasad, who is the Director of the group Pacific Islands Students Fighting Climate Change [PISFCC], says that the Pacific region is now experiencing huge impacts because of Climate Change.
He shared this information with the media when asked about how Climate Change is affecting the region.
Prasad made these remarks at the 2025 Pacific Media Partnership Conference, which is happening right now in Suva, Fiji.
PISFCC optimistic about the ICJ's decision
Meantime, The International Court of Justice [ICJ] is expected to announce the results of a major climate change case this year.
This case was started by Pacific Island students.
Vishal Prasad, the Director of Pacific Islands Students Fighting Climate Change [PISFCC], is hopeful that the court will give a positive opinion on the case.
The hearing for this case took place in December 2024, and for the first time, Papua New Guinea took part in it.
