No quorum yet

The Motion of No-Confidence against Prime Minister James Marape is listed on the Parliament Notice Paper for today's session.

It is anticipated in line with the Constitution, speaker Job Pomat will adjourn Parliament for seven days before the vote is taken of the motion of no-confidence against Prime Minister next week Thursday.

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Koni Iguan suspended the parliament at around 10am this morning after the ringing of the bells as there was no quorum.

Only Opposition MPs were present in the chamber, while all government seats were unoccupied.

The Opposition team remained seated while awaiting the MPs from the government to enter the chamber and take their place.

At around, 10.40am, the Members of the government slowly walked into the Parliament chamber.
