Angoram massacre prime suspect surrender

A prime suspect of the recent Tambari massacre in East Sepiks Angoram District surrendered to police yesterday [Monday] afternoon.

East Sepik Provincial Police Commander Superintendent Christopher Tamari says the gang leader Jerome Malaki gave himself in to Angoram police and Wewak CID at 5pm as a widespread police manhunt continues mounting more pressure on the other suspects.

Supt Tamari says Malaki from Tambari village gave himself up to police at Wiangara hamlet in Pinang Village.

More arrests are expected this week as police are closing in on the suspects.
