Paska passes on

PNG Trade Union stalwart John Paska has passed on late yesterday at the Port Moresby General Hospital.

Late Paska who hails from Pinikidu Village in New Ireland served the Union for over 26 years, becoming the longest serving General Secretary to date.

A lawyer by profession late Paska served as the General Secretary fighting for workers rights and played advocacy roles in support of human rights and democratic values.

He served on numerous high profile boards and councils until his untimely passing.

The PNG Trade Union Congress will be releasing a statement on his passing.
