9-mile Bush Wara evictions has started
The eviction exercise at 9-mile, Bush Wara has commenced this morning under heavy police presence.
Portion 2157 is packed with police personnel and vehicles escorting machinery tearing down structures.
According to Nambawan Super site managers, the eviction is progressing well with no resistance from the settlers despite speculations on social media.
The squatters have been given ample time to remove permanent structures and it's expected to be completed within three weeks.
NBC National News was on site and spoke to several settlers who are among most who voluntarily took down their houses.
