Teachers and students return to school in Hela Province

Schools resume classes today after taking a two-week break for the term holidays and the census household count.

Students and teachers in Hela Province were welcomed by Hela Education Services Director, Ronny Angu who expressed his deep gratitude to the teachers and school boards for participating in the census headcount.

Teaching staff were told to prepare their classrooms, school grounds and facilities for the beginning of Term 3 classes..

Mr. Angu reiterated a quote by Nelson Mandela that emphasized on the power of education in changing the world. He encouraged everyone to create an environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential.

Teachers in Hela were again reminded of their constitutional duty to lead and support future generations to the best of their ability.

Mr Angu emphasised on the importance of leadership and called for a collective effort towards effective management and quality student learning.
