Security to be beefed up at the PNG Australia maritime border

Maritime Security between  Australia and Papua New Guinea will dramatically improve over the coming months following the presentation of a new border patrol vessel- Minigulai to the Royal Papua New Guinea constubulary.

The police patrol vessel (PPV) Minigulai  was purchased by the Australian Federal Police from the Tasmanian Police Force and was presented today to RPNGC by  Australian attorney General Mark Dreyfus.

Cross border patrols of the Torres Strait region between Papua New Guinea and Australia will be enhanced with commissioning of the Police Patrol Vessel Minigulai to RPNGC this morning.
