Kapris Wins Maprik By-Election

Libert Kapris the son of the late Maprik MP Gabriel Kapris has won the Maprik by-election.

The seat was left vacant by his father.

The young Kapris polled a total 19,063 votes in the 15th exclusion of Hildeanne Wefin going past runner up and Pangu strongman John Simon who polled 17,407 votes.

The absolute majority was 18, 236

Kapris is being escorted to the polling center for the official signing of the writ.
