Sohe yet to count, Maprik primary count completed

Counting for Sohe Open in Northen province is yet to start.

PNG Electoral Commission says few more ballot boxes from remote Local Level Governments are yet to arrive.

The Electoral Commission hopes counting for Sohe by-election will begin today (Tuesday).

 Meantime, all primary counts for Maprik by-election is complete.

After the primary country of Maprik Open, John Simon leading with 14, 257 followed by Libert Kapris with 12, 066, Hildaanne Weifin with 5481, Samson Sangi 3,109 and Vincent Alois Yangwari with 3,104.

The PNG Electoral Commission has confirmed that their team on the ground are waiting for quality checks, and hopes to proceed to elimination mid this week.
