It’s been 7 days since the massive landslide occurred in Mulitaka in Enga Province on 24th May.

Labelled as horrendous, the landslide claimed lives unexpectedly, causing extensive destruction to properties, homes and small businesses.

For the locals of Mulitaka, life has not been the same after this fatal day.

Husbands, wives, children, families, relatives, and communities go out daily to the landslip area in search of survivors. To date its's an ugly scenario as the mission to rescue loved ones buried underground is not nearing.

Lakau Pyakali  the owner of a wholesale told 89.1 Jesus FM, he makes up to K1000 - K6000 per day depending on the customers. There are roughly more than 60 stores buried, including a guest house.

The search continues and relief supplies from within the country and abroad are pouring in to assist the survivors and help aid the search party.
