British helping hand arrive

More assistance from the United Kingdom for victims of the Multaka landslide arrived on Wednesday evening.
British High Commissioner to PNG Anne Macro handed over relief aid supplies to Defence Minister Dr Billy Joseph and Enga Governor Sir Peter Ipatas [picture insert], on arrival in Port Moresby after visiting the natural disaster area.
While handing over the relief aid, High Commissioner Macro reiterated, British Foreign Minister David Cameron's condolence to the families in Mulitaka of Enga Province.
The relief supplies contain temporary shelter, sanitation and kitchen equipment.
Dr Billy thanked the British Government and people for the helping hand in this time of need.
He further acknowledge the efforts of the Enga Provincial Disaster Committee and welcomed all humanitarian support from bilateral partners.
