Douglas Tomuriesa, Opposition Leader and mover of the notice of motion of no-confidence in Prime Minister James Marape has resubmitted a new notice to the office of the parliament speaker.

Minutes after Speaker Job Pomat revealed the notice submitted before the house sat this morning, failed to meet all requirements.

The earlier notice had only 11 members of Parliament' names and signatures and not the required 12 members of parliament.

While parliament was in-session, Mr Tomuriesa made the new submission to Speaker Job Pomat, while Deputy Speaker Koni Iguan sat on the speaker's chair.

As per Parliament standing orders, the Private Business Committee will deliberate on the notice next week on Wednesday.
