Motion not received

Speaker of Parliament, Job Pomat has informed the country that he has yet to receive a motion on the Vote of No Confidence in the Prime Minister.
He made the announcement during the first May sitting this afternoon.
The Office of the Speaker was expecting the motion to be filed by the Alternative government, but it did not eventuate.
Newly appointed leader of Government business, Peter Tsiamalili Jnr moved a motion to adjourn parliament to 10am tomorrow.
Parliament funding
Speaker of Parliament Job Pomat is urging Members of Parliament to embrace the significance and role of the Parliament House.
Speaker Pomat made these remark in his opening statement prior the session.
The Manus Open MP says the Parliament is a critical part of Papua New Guinea's democracy and must be supported.
Speaker Pomat says many times the Parliament is funded inadequately by responsible Departments like Finance and Treasury.
He urged the ruling Government or any Government of the Day to ensure Parliament is funded well to function.
He reminded Members of Parliament to embrace the services and the role Parliament plays stating fair consideration must be prioritized.
