Key government ministers break away overnight, and it’s business as usual for PMJM

There's been a development overnight on the political front with several key ministers breaking from government, ahead of a looming vote of no confidence in Prime Minister James Marape.
The key ministers include leader of government business and Finance Minister Rainbo Paita, Minister for Higher Education Don Polye and other members of the ruling Pangu Pati.
The breakaway government faction moved into camp at a hotel in Port Moresby last night which is now locked down and under tight security.
It's been business as usual for Prime Minister Marape who was in Madang on Friday to launch the provinces' first development plan in over 20 years and that of Usino Bundi district.
The day earlier, he's reported to have said the government remains unshaken and any VONC motion will be dealt by the Parliament and its processes.
The alternate camp is expected to call a press conference while the Pangu Pati is expected to release a statement on this recent move.
Parliament sits on Tuesday.
