Retail giant will soon land in Hela Province

City Pharmacy Limited [CPL] will soon have its foot print in Hela Province.

The retail giant which operates a chain of supermarkets, hardware stores and pharmacies had already signed two separate Memorandum of Understanding [MoU] with Koroba –Lake Kopiago and Tari Pori District Development Authorities.

In the first MoU with the Tari-Pori DDA and Hela Provincial Health Authority, City Pharmacy will establish a retail store in Tari Town, and the most recent MoU with Koroba –Lake Kopiago DDA for setting up a Hardware Haus [House].

The partnership will also see the districts in Hela Province supply taros and sweet potatoes to CPL, for its Port Moresby customers.

CPL Group chief executive officer Navin Raju, emphasized the company’s commitment “We [CPL will] continue to believe in Papua New Guinea’s potential, and we are pleased to enter into this partnership whereby the people of Hela Province will be the biggest benefactors.

“We thank the [Mr] Bando and his district team for willing [to partner with CPL] and look forward to getting started on these two projects soon.”

Koroba –Lake Kopiago MP William Bando, expressed his optimism about the collaboration, “our vision is to transform our district through strategic partnerships. With CPL Group’s support, we can build a healthier, more prosperous future for our people of Hela Province.”

The expansion projects will commence in the coming months, marking CPL’s entry for the first time into Hela Province.
