State Appoints Board of the Konebada Petroleum Park Authority

National Executive Council has appointed Martin Kombri [picture insert] as the new board chairman for Konebada Petroleum Park Authority [KPPA] and Boe Daera as deputy.
KPPA main responsibility is to facilitate and develop downstream processing of petroleum and energy products.
Other ex officio members of the board will include the department heads or nominee from the Departments of National Planning and Monitoring, Petroleum and Energy, Lands and Physical Planning, Commerce and Industry, and the Central Provincial Government , National Capital District Commission and KPPA chief executive officers.
All board members will be serving for a period of four years.
International Trade and Investment Minister Richard Maru has directed the chairman and his deputy to audit the books of KPPA.
“Their second task is to identify and reclaim the land of the institution [KPPA] that had been illegally sold. We have a big clean-up to do.
“The Board will look at the issue of interim management and re-establish the KKPA. The future of the Konebada Petroleum Park in terms of business and what it will do will all be subject to the findings and the recommendations of the new Board."
