The National Broadcasting Corporation [NBC] ran a news story on 5th March 2024, titled "National Court refuses OTML media gag," in which we claimed that the presiding Judge had not found anything defamatory about the publication of the original story. It has since been established that was not the case, and the Judge had not made any such utterances on that day. We understand that the Ok Tedi Mining Limited [OTML] was adversely aggrieved by our reporting. The NBC, therefore, retracts this story forthwith and unreservedly apologizes to the OTML and our learned Judge for any unintended harm or inconvenience that was caused by our reporting. News Editor
