Inflation to increase

Papua New Guinean's will continue to dig deeper into their pockets to pay for basic food items.
The increase in cost of living will continue in 2024.
Bank of PNG Governor Elizabeth Genia admits inflation prices will continue because of the depreciation of the Kina against United States Dollars, which is the major international trading currency.
She made this statement this morning when presenting the 2024 Monetary Policy Statement for the last 6 months.
The head of the country's central bank says BPNG will continue to monitor and introduce monetary policies.
"Next 6 months we will have to make some tough economy decisions," Governor Genia said.
