The Western Highlands Province is prepared, and will start receiving nominations for the Local Level Government (LLG) elections, after the Writs were officially opened at 4:00 p.m yesterday.
The nominations for the 2025 Local Level Government Elections and the Kabwum By-election in Morobe Province was declared open by the Provincial Elections Manager, Simon Soheke a little after 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon.
The Writs for the Local Level Government elections were officially signed by the Minister for Provincial and Local Level Government Affairs, Soroei Eoe at Morauta Haus at 4pm this afternoon.
With the official issue of writs this Thursday, most of Milne Bay’s Assistant Returning Officers remain in Alotau Town awaiting fuel to get to their respective nomination sites. Officials hope most of them will be moved by Friday.
