Prime Minister Marape and Prime Minister Albanese to walk parts of the 96km Kokoda track

The People of Kokoda in Northern Province are preparing to receive Australia's prime minister Anthony Albanese and prime minister James Marape at Kokoda station tomorrow.

Mr Albanese will walk parts of the famous 96km Kokoda Track to the Isurava battle field where he will commemorate Anzac day on Thursday 25th April.

Hundreds of Australian trekkers have already started walking the track and will meet prime minister Albanese at the memorial site at Isurava on Thursday.

Managing director of Kokoda Historical, David Howell said this is a wonderful opportunity for both countries to value the wartime history at Isurava.
