Missing MOA project funds serious

The Opposition has described the alleged missing Petroleum Memorandum
of Agreement Funds, as more serious than the current Inquiry into the
Finance Department.
And deputy leader, Bart Philemon has welcomed calls by Southern
Highlands Governor, Anderson Aigiru for a Commission of Inquiry into
the matter.
He says this must be done urgently for the sake of the public,
especially the people on the gas well sources and corridors of the
Liquefied Natural Gas Project.
Mr Philemon says failure to do so, will result in unnecessary delays
by landowners, to the nations biggest project investment.
The Opposition wants the Prime Minister to act quickly, and say the
terms of the reference for an inquiry should include what the proper
processes are, and if they were followed, who authorized the payments
and who received payments. |
