Unions put on notice

Fri Apr 17, 2009 12:00pm

The entire union movement in the country has been put on notice by one of its own.

Jeff Borari, the interim General Secretary of the Correctional Service Employees Association wants all union and association books to be investigated.

Mr Borari made the call following a mass withdrawal of more than 5,000 members of CSEA over allegations of misappropriation by its former executives.

"Most association, and unions are in red, and I'd like to say that every organization should be investigated. There's a lot of financial members' contributions which have been totally misused,by none other than the executives and the so-called General Secretaries.

These people should be put on the spot-light and investigated," Mr Borari
said.
