NCDC supports a Human Rights Program

The National National Capital District Commission, has made a
financial commitment of K20,000, to support the 20-day Human Rights
Activism program, in Port Moresby.
National Capital District Governor, Powes Pakop, announced the
commitment this week, during the official launch of the program.
Mr Parkop said the funds will assist organizers, to advocate and
promote Human Rights issues, in Papua New Guinea.
Minister for Community Development, Dame Carol Kidu, also thanked
NCDC for its support for this worthwhile event.
She emphasized, that children need all the support to advocate their
rights as well, for the future development of the country.
The program will also include other major social issues, such as HIV
and AIDS and domestic violence. |
