The Department of Foreign Affairs has launched a pilot program aimed
at developing character building and moral excellence in the workplace.
The inaugural PNG Immigration and Citizenship Service Leadership
Training Program targets staff at the director level and above.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Immigration Sam Abal said
this is a great opportunity for the newly appointed Immigration and
Citizenship Service management team as they will be a separate agency
within the department and the growth of its leaders must be supported.
Mr Abal said leadership by example is the key to success and
modelling correct behavior leads to significant benefits not only for
the department but for the participants as well.
The pilot Leadership Training Program will also include other follow
up training on Ethical and Moral Excellence by Foursquare Church
leader Reverend Bill Page. |
