National Procurement Commission swears in new board

The new board members of National Procurement Commission (NPC) were sworn in today.

The NPC is the commission that oversees government purchases and contract tenders.

The new Board members including Secretary for Finance Samuel Penias as Chairman, Works and Highways Secretary David Wereh and Daniel Rolpagarea as board members and Moseley Elly as independent member of the board.

Other three ex officio members including Ms Edea Bouraga representing the Institute of Engineers, Mr. James Popo Gore representing Accountants, and Rev. Roger Joseph representing Civil Societies.

The occasion was witnessed by Minister for National Planning Rainbo Paita and other dignitaries in Port Moresby.
